- Moser's 56-year-old mother, Rachel Moser, was charged with helping cover up the murder by following her son to dump the vehicle, washing his bloody clothes, and hiding the knife.
- Both mother and son face charges including tampering with evidence, abuse of a corpse, and obstruction of justice, with Rachel Moser also charged with hindering apprehension.
- The mother and son are being held without bail at Washington County Jail ahead of an October 13 formal arraignment.
