Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) is one of the most important examinations in the country. After several months of anxious wait, over 378,000 SPM candidates who sat for the exam last year recently found out the fruits of their labour with the announcement of the SPM 2024 results on 24 April.
As reported by NST, 14,179 SPM 2024 candidates scored straight As in the exam. Meanwhile, the overall National Average Grade (GPN) was 4.49, the best since the new grading format was introduced in 2021.
Congratulations to those who were successful in SPM 2024, and for those who didn’t achieve their desired results, don't be too hard on yourselves. While the “O-Level” certificate is important, it won’t determine your future.

Regardless of your performance in SPM, though, the physical certificate of the exam holds significance as it’s not only used when entering tertiary education institutes, but also when applying for a job, even decades after you sat for it. Hence, if your SPM certificate is damaged or lost, it’s important to get a replacement from the Ministry of Education (MOE).
Thankfully, the process of getting a replacement certificate for your SPM or any other major national examination has now been made much easier. In fact, you can even request a replacement certificate online and have it delivered to your doorstep with just a few clicks.
