DAP Grip: capture Perak for a stronger hold on West Coast states dubbed Corridor of Hope in a bid to say Goodbye to BN-UMNO #GE15

Perak is a missing link in DAP's strategy to strengthen its hold on the West Coast states of Peninsular Malaysia.

Consider the current situation. Penang is under DAP and Selangor is administered by PKR.

Perak which has a strong DAP presence will fall easily enough based on the last election's results where DAP and its allies in PH won 13 of the total 24 parliamentary seats in Perak.

In the coming GE15, if they could find a Trojan horse to spearhead the move into Malay-dominated constituencies they could win more seats.

Anwar agreed to take a chance and has committed to moving from Port Dickson to stand in Tambun where Malays form a majority.

A fiery speaker with oratory skills better than any average Malay politician might be able to swing fence-sitters. The Chinese and Indian voters in the area are certain to vote for DAP.

All it needs is a relatively small percentage of Malays in the largest kampung in Malaysia to fall for Anwar's sugar-coated oratory skills.

DAP is not interested in Kedah, Kelantan, and Terengganu. Let PAS take care of those. They are not as wealthy as the West Coast states.

Besides PAS too might have a grand design for the East Coast states. If they could win a few more seats in Pahang PN might be able to control the East Coast leaving DAP-PH in the West.

DAP is all set to contest more parliamentary and state seats in Perak in the 15th General Election (GE15).

Anthony Loke DAP's secretary-general said so at a recent convention in Ipoh. "We want to help PH not only to wrest Perak (from Umno and Barisan Nasional) but also help the coalition to form the next Federal Government after GE15." (New Straits Time)

At the same convention in Ipoh, Loke confirmed DAP would be contesting more seats in Perak in GE15 and many would involve Malay-majority constituencies in Perak.

"We will fight (contest against) Umno; we will enter Malay-majority areas." Chances are UMNO might lose Perak to PH DAP. (New Straits Time)

Loke described Perak as the "missing link" that would complement and complete the corridor of politics for PH since the state governments in Penang, Selangor, and Negri Sembilan are currently being administered by the opposition led by the PH coalition.

Loke said, "All these states have great economic potential. In fact, Perak and Negeri Sembilan could benefit from the economic development spillover from Penang and Selangor." (New Straits Times)

He added that DAP's mission for GE15 is not only to defend the three states (Penang, Selangor, and Negri Sembilan) and capture the administration of the federal government but also to win Perak.

By capturing Perak (in GE15) DAP-PH would be able to establish a strategic cooperation between Perak, Penang, Selangor, and Negeri Sembilan reviving a part of the old Federated Malay States during the colonial era.

DAP's grip on the West Coast states would be strengthened and if it did happen DAP-PH will become a formidable foe to any opponent.

This prompted one Malay to equate the situation with the plight of Palestinians as illustrated in the poster provided.

We do not believe Malaysia would end up being similar to Palestine any time soon.

But the economic corridor of the Peninsula has always been the states facing the Straits of Melaka from Penang to Singapore.

All it needs now is to turn them into a political corridor for DAP to attain a more powerful grip like that of Singapore's hold on the regional economy.

Incidentally, wasn't DAP historically inspired by or linked to the PAP of Singapore?

The above scenario leaves UMNO-BN with no option but to work with all Malay parties and form a pact to stand against a DAP-dominated government of the day.

Zahid has to eat humble pie and so would Muhyiddin who said they do not need any help from other parties.

A lack of cooperation amongst Malay-based parties is partly the reason for the DAP's growing grip and political success.

Say goodbye to BN-UMNO come November 20, 2022.
