DAP's stance on keeping violence, hatred, and offensive tools out of schools is both commendable and necessary.

The implications of allowing such programmes in primary schools are indeed serious and warrant strong condemnation.

Anthony Loke is right to voice the party's opposition to any activities that exhibit elements of armed violence involving young students.

Programmes that glorify violence, even in a simulated form, send the wrong message to our future generation.

It's crucial to teach our children about peace, tolerance, and respect, rather than exposing them to imagery that promotes conflict and militancy.

The Education Ministry must take swift and strict disciplinary action against those responsible for organizing such programmes and ensure that similar incidents are prevented in the future.

The recent incident of primary school students brandishing toy guns resembling M-16s and dressing up as militants during the MoE's Palestine Solidarity Week is deeply concerning.

Such activities are clearly not age-appropriate and should be reevaluated. Instead, schools should focus on instilling values of universal peace, mutual respect, and cross-cultural understanding.

DAP's commitment to standing in solidarity with the Palestinian people on humanitarian principles is admirable.

However, the approach to conveying this message to school students should be rethought to align with the values of peace and respect.

We should support the government in advocating for the rights and territory of the Palestinian people, but this advocacy should be based on education and empathy, not on glorifying violence.

DAP's call for a more appropriate approach in schools is both responsible and necessary to ensure a brighter and more peaceful future for our children.

Coming from a major coalition partner in the Madani government, PMX should rethink about further actions on involving school children in politics that may only lead to hatred and possible violence, if unchecked.
