Rediscovering Malaysia, One Story at a Time
With a single-minded mission, CelcomDigi is uncovering and celebrating the lesser-known people, places, and unique traditions in 160 towns across all 14 states. What makes each hometown special? What are the fun facts a certain town or community that fellow Malaysians do not know? Through a compelling film and a digital movement, we’re spotlighting the granular moments that make Malaysia truly extraordinary.
This campaign is not just about showcasing Malaysia — it’s about seeing Malaysia differently. Through storytelling, we’re building emotional connections and sparking national pride. We’re inviting Malaysians to share their own stories, quirks, and hometown gems, creating a tapestry of experiences that reflect the richness of our culture.
A Digital Movement of Unity
The heart of our campaign lies in participation. We’ve activated a nationwide digital celebration, where content creators from every state are sharing the unique beauty of their homes on social platforms. From TikTok to Instagram, Malaysians are encouraged to join the movement — to tell their stories, amplify their voices, and help others see Malaysia through millions of different lenses.
We’re working with social media influencers to kickstart this wave of rediscovery, encouraging their followers to share what “home” means to them. Whether it’s a local dish, a childhood memory, or a hidden gem in their town, every story adds to the collective pride of being Malaysian.
Celebrating Togetherness at the Hari Kebangsaan Parade
CelcomDigi’s commitment to unity and national pride is also reflected in our physical presence at the Hari Kebangsaan Parade in Putrajaya. A 70-strong contingent of CDzens, proudly clad in our iconic blue and yellow, will march in celebration of the spirit that defines us not just as a brand, but as Malaysians. Our presence reflects the harmony, camaraderie and share purpose that live at the heart of our nation.
To accompany the contingent will be the CelcomDigi mobile LED truck, a moving symbol of connection. It represents how connectivity transcends technology, becoming a bridge that links Malaysians through shared stories, values and everyday experiences. Parade spectators are asked to keep a lookout for the CelcomDigi truck, and they may be in for a surprise, making this year’s celebration even more memorable for them.
This year CelcomDigi is paying tribute to Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage, with traditional costumes representing the many different communities that make up our diverse nation, also a reminder of CelcomDigi’s role in serving and connecting over 20 million Malaysians from all walks of life, across generations, cultures and geographies, and a celebration of the everyday connections that unite us all.
In line with the Merdeka theme Malaysia Madani: Rakyat Disantuni, our presence at the parade is a heartfelt gesture to bring people together, to honour the beauty of our differences, and to celebrate the shared values that make Malaysia home.
