Ever since the Malaysian ringgit continuously depreciates, goods and services price has spiked severely. The increase in Malaysia's cost of living has already been a norm. However, no one expected such daylight robbery to happen, where a small portion of food is charged at a sky-high price, definitely not worth it.

According to 88Razzi, a Malaysian girl named Syl previously posted on a social media platform, Xiao Hong Shu, sharing her cousin's experience of dining in at a hotpot restaurant. Syl's cousin mentioned that the hotpot restaurant offers an exclusive environment, accompanied by courteous waiters and waitresses, even the soup base was extraordinarily delicious. Sadly, the pricing is just unreasonable.

Syl's cousin mentioned that the hotpot restaurant's meat portion is way smaller than other restaurants, yet still charged at sky-high prices. Surprisingly, even their mushrooms were charged at unreasonable pricing, with only 5 button mushrooms cut into half, acting like there's 10 button mushrooms, and it costs RM8.50 per plate! What makes her more furious is that the portion wasn't as shown in their menu, from around 20 whole-button mushrooms into 5-button mushrooms.

Also, canned button mushrooms sold in grocery stores are way cheaper, with only RM5 for a whole can with more than 20 whole button mushrooms. Syl mentioned that she felt very funny every time she sees the photo, but she took a stand and said that restaurants shouldn't be so irresponsible just because the dish isn't commonly ordered by customers.

The post went viral on social media and has been a hot topic among netizens. Many commented that Syl's cousin should complain, as it's considered as deceiving customers, such a daylight robbery. However, some felt that this has been a norm.
