DC United coach Wayne Rooney has played down talk of interest from Birmingham City.
Manchester United great Rooney has been linked with a move to St Andrews this past week.
But he told the Mirror: "The contract situation is what it is, and it can wait until after the season.
"Unfortunately, I can't prevent speculation, it happens, but my only focus is trying to get DC United into the playoffs."
Rooney left Derby County for DC United last season.
