Manchester City midfielder Kevin de Bruyne insists they're well place for the season run-in.
De Bruyne today ahead of their Champions League round of 16 clash with RB Leipzig tomorrow.
He said, "I think it [form] has been fine this year. The league has changed a bit. The lower teams are able to spend more money and buy better quality players. I feel like all 20 teams have so much quality so I think the level of difficulty in beating these teams is getting tougher and tougher.
"In the end we are second in the league and still in three competitions [Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup], so in comparison with a lot of years I feel not really different.
"If we just won the Champions League and don't win anything else, obviously you get called the best in Europe but I just don't know.
"What are the criteria of being the best team in the league?
"We want to be the best possible every year and in eight years it has been pretty great."
