MANILA, Philippines — Mamamayang Liberal Rep. Leila de Lima found "pathetic" the scene of Sen. Ronald de la Rosa running from persons who were reportedly trying to serve an International Criminal Court warrant.
In a media interview on Tuesday, de Lima, a former senator, said she laughed when the video was shown to her.
"Honestly, I view the scenery or the scenario, the scene as pathetic. It looked pathetic. Because where is your previous swagger", she said in Filipino and English.
"So it was funny and at the same time, pitiful", she said.
De la Rosa has denied allegations that linked him to unlawful killings during the drug war implemented during the presidency of Rodrigo Duterte.
