Deano Ryan admits violent disorder after anti-migrant protest in Portsmouth

• Deano Ryan, 22, from Portsmouth, has pleaded guilty to violent disorder following an anti-migrant protest at Eastney Marina on 6 September.
• The protest occurred overnight after a dinghy carrying migrants crossed the English Channel, leading to damaged official vehicles and injuries to police officers.
• Portsmouth Magistrates' Court heard that Ryan used or threatened unlawful violence alongside others, causing individuals at the scene to fear for their personal safety.
• Ryan has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to be sentenced at Portsmouth Crown Court on 8 October.
• Two other men, Del Somerville, 42, and Justin Dixon, 50, have also admitted violent disorder charges in connection with the incident and face upcoming sentencing.
