
LAHAD DATU: Thirteen students of a vocational college, aged between 16 and 19, have been arrested to facilitate investigations into the death of their college mate, here, Friday.
The 17-year-old victim was found unconscious around 6.50am in one of the college’s dorm rooms.
Lahad Datu District Police Chief Dr Rohan Shah Ahmad said police received a report from the college director about the matter.
“Medical officials who arrived at the scene pronounced him dead there,” he said in a statement.

Read more According to initial reports, Rohan said the victim was found unconscious on the floor.
“There were injuries and bruises on the victim’s body. We believe this happened due to a misunderstanding between the victim and other students,” he said.
“The incident is believed to be over a phone charger…do not speculate and leave the police to do investigations,” he added.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
