Shah Alam police discover two decomposed bodies in a rented house, with initial investigations ruling out foul play and treating the case as sudden death.

SHAH ALAM: Police discovered the decomposed bodies of a man and a woman in a house in Setia Alam.

The bodies were found by a male relative who went to check on the occupants at the rented property.

Shah Alam police chief ACP Ramsay Embol said the house was shut but the front grille door was unlocked.

No vehicles were in the compound and the house was found to be in an orderly condition.

“Both bodies were in an advanced state of decomposition and, based on forensic findings, are believed to have been dead for more than a week,” he said.

He added that examinations found no injuries on the bodies and no elements of foul play were detected.

The bodies of the 39-year-old woman and 36-year-old man were sent to Shah Alam Hospital for post-mortem.

The case is being investigated as a sudden death report.
