Former England international Jermain Defoe is full of praise for Newcastle's recent recruit Anthony Gordon.
The Magpies secured the ex-Everton man in the January transfer window.
Despite the club paying a huge fee to secure Gordon, Defoe believes he is talented enough to prove a bargain.
"As I said, it's a good signing," Defoe told Premier League Productions.
"I think he will do well there and he will do well with this manager, Eddie Howe.
"He always wants to improve players, even if it's that 1%. He's at the right age. But when he came on, he looked really sharp."
