DEL Monte Pacific Ltd. (DMPL) on Thursday said that net profit for the nine months ended Jan. 31, 2026 had surged to $32.3 million, more than six times the $5.2 million recorded in the same period a year earlier, driven by strong sales.
In a statement, it said sales rose 14.2 percent to $682.4 million from $597.5 million on the back of higher exports of fresh and packaged pineapple products and higher sales from its Philippine operations.
The Philippine market generated sales of $322.7 million, up by 8.3 percent in peso terms and 8.4 percent in dollar terms, while international sales grew by 15.2 percent to $298.6 million, supported by higher export volume and improved pricing.
The company said demand for fresh pineapples remained strong in key markets such as China, Japan and the Middle East.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (Ebitda) in the nine months climbed 22.8 percent to $133.5 million.
“The stronger performance reflects gross margin expansion across markets, supported by higher volumes, better product mix, and pricing actions implemented in line with inflation,” the company said.
For the third quarter ended January, Del Monte said net profit quadrupled to $10.0 million from $2.5 million a year earlier.
Sales during the quarter rose 19.8 percent to $243.8 million from $203.4 million previously, while Ebitda increased 16.2 percent to $42.8 million.
Gross margin improved to 32.7 percent from 28.6 percent, mainly due to favorable pricing, higher sales volumes and lower cannery production costs.
Sales in the Philippine market reached $112.3 million during the quarter, up 5.0 percent in dollar terms, while international sales jumped 33.9 percent to $110.8 million, led by stronger exports of fresh pineapple, packaged products and not-from-concentrate juice.
The company said following the strong nine-month results, it “can now concentrate fully on driving growth within its profitable core business.”
Del Monte Pacific shares on Thursday dropped P0.20, or 3.64 percent, to close at P5.30 each.
