KOTA KINABALU: Delays in the execution of development projects in Sabah are not solely attributed to land issues or project costs, said Sabah Umno Election Director Jeffery Nor Mohamed.

He said that long-standing bureaucratic practices within the State Government's administration also contributed to these delays.

Advertisement“The question is whether the state administration is willing to accept a significant amount of federal funding without implementing efficient governance and ensuring that staffing levels meet current needs,” he said in a statement Saturday.

Jeffrey, who is also Putatan Umno Divisional Chief, said that land acquisition and project valuation should not be the main obstacles hindering project execution.
