Low visibility and dense fog cause 126 flight cancellations at Delhi’s main airport, with hundreds more delayed, disrupting travel for second day.

NEW DELHI: At least 126 flights were cancelled on Tuesday as low visibility continued to disrupt operations at the Indira Gandhi International Airport for a second consecutive day.

An official from Delhi International Airport Limited confirmed 49 departures and 77 arrivals were called off due to dense fog and poor visibility during morning hours.

The airport issued a fog advisory early Tuesday, warning travellers of possible delays and further disruptions.

Hundreds of flights were also cancelled or delayed on Monday after thick smog blanketed the Indian capital and its outskirts. – Bernama-Xinhua
