The Bharatiya Janata Party’s Delhi unit has completed organisational training camps across 252 mandals and 12 districts under the Pt Deendayal Upadhyay Maha Prashikshan Abhiyan, with only Chandni Chowk and Keshavpuram districts remaining, party leaders said on Friday.
The two-day training camps for workers from Shahdara and Mayur Vihar districts concluded in Rajokri, New Delhi, in the presence of Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva and Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra on Friday.
According to party leaders, the programme focused on familiarising workers, particularly new members, with the BJP’s organisational structure, ideology, history, working style and the role of media and social media in politics.
Addressing the concluding session, Sachdeva said the camps also helped strengthen coordination and team spirit among workers through group activities, recreational sessions and collective yoga exercises.
“These training camps have not only educated workers about the party’s functioning but also created a renewed sense of team spirit,” he said.
Malhotra said organisational work and training received through the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh had helped him in carrying out his responsibilities as a Union minister.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, who addressed workers during the inaugural day of the camps, urged party cadres to take the message of the Delhi government’s developmental works to every section of society.
Delhi BJP organisation general secretary Pavan Rana said BJP workers remain committed to nationalism and public service due to their ideological association with the RSS and its affiliated organisations.
Other sessions during the programme were addressed by several party leaders, including MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat, former MP Ramesh Bidhuri and BJP media department head Praveen Shankar Kapoor, who spoke on welfare schemes, booth management, media engagement and the use of social media in elections.
