Delhi Mayor Pravesh Wahi on Thursday dedicated a park in Bhagwan Das Nagar, East Punjabi Bagh, to late social worker and entrepreneur Subhash Gupta, recognising his contributions to education, healthcare and social welfare.
The park was formally named during a ceremony attended by MP Bansuri Swaraj, MLA Harish Khurana, councillor Rakesh Joshi, senior MCD officials and local residents.
Addressing gathering, Wahi said naming public spaces after personalities was to inspire future generations in public service and social responsibility. He described Gupta’s life as an example of philanthropy, dedication and community welfare.
He said Gupta had played a key role in establishing educational institutions, hospitals and old-age homes, benefiting thousands, with his work for underprivileged sections remembered.
Bansuri Swaraj said such individuals were invaluable and Gupta’s commitment to service would continue to inspire people.
Harish Khurana said Gupta’s life showed determination and service could bring change, while Rakesh Joshi called naming pride.
The ceremony ended with tributes to uphold his legacy.
