Delhi Water and Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh on Sunday directed officials to strengthen grassroots governance and ensure that government services and welfare schemes reach every eligible citizen.

During a review meeting with Zonal Revenue Officers (ZROs), the minister emphasised the importance of transparency, accountability and citizen-centric administration. He instructed officers to maintain regular contact with residents, understand their concerns and ensure that information about government benefits and services reaches every household.

Stressing the need for greater public engagement, Singh said officers should not remain confined to their offices but actively work among communities and serve as a bridge between the government and the people.

“Every citizen should know how they can access services. Our officers must work among the people, understand their concerns and resolve issues with honesty and sensitivity,” he said.
