In an administrative reform in the Delhi Police, nine Indian Police Officer (IPS) on Special Commissioner of Police ranks were assigned new responsibilities, according to an order of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

As part of the reshuffle, 1994 batch Special CP Neeraj Thakur has been assigned as Special CP Law and Order (Zone 2) from the Traffic Department.

Devesh Chandra Srivastava (IPS 1995), who previously served as Special CP Crime, has been appointed Special CP Law and Order (Zone 1) while Hargobind Singh Dhaliwal (IPS 1997), has been appointed Special CP Crime, with an additional charge of Perception management & media cell and legal division.

David Lalrinsanga (IPS 1995) will continue as Special CP (Operations), but has been given additional responsibilities.

Manish Kumar Agarwal (IPS 1996) has been removed from Intelligence and appointed Special CP Traffic, while K. Jagadeesan (IPS 1998) has been transferred from the Protective Security Division to Special CP Intelligence.

Ajay Chaudhary (IPS 1996), who previously oversaw the Vigilance Division, has been transferred as Special CP Protective Security Division.

Similarly, Atul Katiyar (IPS 1997) has been promoted from the Welfare Division to Special CP (Vigilance), and Vijay Kumar (IPS 1997) has been removed from the Armed Police and assigned to the Public Transport Safety Division.

These orders issued by the Home Department have been implemented with immediate effect.
