A Delhi youth died while three other passengers of the car were injured in a high speed collision when an unidentified vehicle hit their car near Machchli Kalan village on the Mohali IT City–Kurali Expressway near Kharar.
Deceased Tushar Soni was seriously injured in the accident and was rushed to a hospital for treatment but he died on the way.
According to police, five friends from Delhi were traveling to Manali for a vacation but when they reached near Kharar, their car was hit by an unidentified vehicle on the six-lane, access-controlled Greenfield corridor which allows vehicles to travel at speeds of up to 100 kmph.
The Majat police has registered a case against the unidentified driver and launched an investigation.
After conducting a post-mortem, the police handed over the deceased’s body to the family.
