Denmark U21 coach Steffen Hojer admits he uses Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund as a role-model for his players.
Just a year ago, Hojlund was on the bench for the U21s against Kazakhstan, but is now scoring for the senior national team and also United.
Hojer told Bold: "What I say to the players is that they must stay ready and seize the opportunity when it comes.
"The best story is still Rasmus Hjlund, who in June 2022 sat on the bench for U21 against Kazakhstan, and in June 2023 he scored two for the national team against Kazakhstan.
"We have shown that video to the others, I can reveal. It is very often about finding good stories, and behind the good stories there is a hell of a lot of hard work.
"So Hjlund is and must also be a great inspiration for the players who are on the U21 national team."
