Dutch pundit John Derksen believes Chelsea midfielder Hakim Ziyech will stay in England this season.
Ziyech is in talks with Ajax about a return to Amsterdam, though Spurs have also been linked.
And Derksen said on Vandaag Inside: "I heard that Tottenham Hotspur is also interested in Ziyech. I can imagine that he prefers Tottenham to succeed in England.
"He was the big star in the Netherlands, but he still failed at Chelsea. Otherwise you come back as a loser.
"Ziyech is a very proud boy. He sees it as a failure if he comes here with hanging legs ... He becomes here received with applause, that will be a warm welcome. But instinctively he failed in England."
Former Holland striker Rene van der Gijp also said: "How you look at it? You can play for Tottenham or you play against Sparta, RKC Waalwijk and Go Ahead Eagles. Then you go there, right?
"Come on man, where would you rather play?"
