GMA Afternoon Prime will debut its new drama series “Apoy sa Dugo” on March 2, airing Mondays to Fridays at 4:05 p.m.

Toplining the series are Sparkle artists Derrick Monasterio as Marco, Ashley Ortega as Angel and Elle Villanueva as Vanessa. The three take on emotionally driven roles in a story centered on family, loyalty and betrayal.

Vanessa is portrayed as a lawyer who defends indigent clients without charge. She shares a stable life with Marco, a reserved businessman who chose to build his own path rather than follow his parents’ ambitions. Their relationship is disrupted by the arrival of Angel, Vanessa’s half-sister.

Angel, longing for love and a sense of belonging, develops an intense attachment to Vanessa. Her actions, carried out “out of love,” eventually strain the sisters’ relationship and lead to a confrontation that fuels a growing rivalry.

The series explores how devotion can turn destructive and whether family ties can withstand betrayal.

Also joining the cast are Ricardo Cepeda, Pinky Amador, Thea Tolentino, Patricia Coma and Larkin Castor.

“Apoy sa Dugo” is directed by Ralfh Manuel Malabunga.

International viewers can watch the program through GMA Pinoy TV.
