A mother threw her two young daughters from a third-story window to help them escape an apartment fire in Georgia.

Tanasia Grant dropped her four-year-old daughter, Alaya, and five-year-old daughter, Autumn, from the window of her burning home on Sunday, 12 April.

Bodycam footage shows police officers catching the children as she lowered them to safety.

“Your kids are fine. I’ve got your kids,” an officer can be heard telling the mother moments later.

Grant said she woke to the fire and that the building’s alarms did not sound. No one was seriously injured in the blaze.
