One man has died and two more are unaccounted for after a fishing boat went missing in the Outer Hebrides.
Emergency services are searching for the vessel, which was reported missing off the coast of Port of News on the Isle of Lewis at around 11:35pm on Tuesday, 13 October.
The body of one man has been recovered, but formal identification is yet to take place.
Extensive searches, assisted by the HM Coastguard and RNLI, are ongoing.
The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) said that a plane and two helicopters were making searches, while six coastguard rescue teams, two RNLI lifeboats, a local boat and Police Scotland have also been involved.
It comes as strong winds are set to hit parts of north-west Scotland on Wednesday, with forecasters warning of disruption to travel and possible power cuts.

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for strong winds covering the Outer Hebrides (Na h-Eileanan Siar), Skye and part of the western Highlands.
Sailings on a number of Calmac ferry routes have been cancelled or disrupted on Wednesday as a result of the weather, with some disruption continuing into Thursday.
The warning comes into force at 10am on Wednesday and lasts until 7pm.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Emergency services are in attendance following a report of a missing fishing vessel and three men onboard off the coast of Port of Ness, Isle of Lewis, which was reported to police around 11.35pm on Tuesday, 13 October, 2026.
