KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor dismissed claims that the Government’s recent development project announcements were politically motivated, stating they were part of its duty to serve the people.

He criticised opposition leaders for raising issues without offering solutions, asserting that the Government would continue announcing projects as needed.

Hajiji stressed that development efforts aimed at improving public welfare, including resolving water and electricity issues, were the Government’s responsibility.

He said this at the launch of the State Higher Education Student Contribution (Sentosa) programme at the Gaya Campus Teacher Education Institute on Thursday.

On seat distribution for the upcoming State Election, he confirmed that discussions would be held among Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) components and ruling coalition partner Pakatan Harapan (PH) Plus.

He maintained that GRS would defend its current seats while prioritising candidates with the best-winning prospects to ensure political stability and state progress.
