Device makers roll out new smartphones, tablets in the Philippines

SEVERAL major consumer electronics brands have rolled out new smartphones and tablets in the Philippine market, highlighting upgrades in mobile photography, durability, battery life, and everyday computing.

vivo Philippines recently introduced the X300 Series, positioning the device for live-event recording. The smartphone features an updated stage-focused video mode designed to capture stabilized footage at up to 30x zoom under low light and heavy motion. The X300 Series is priced starting at P67,999.

HONOR Philippines launched the HONOR X9d 5G, a mid-range smartphone emphasizing durability and battery capacity. The device carries multiple resistance certifications and is equipped with an 8300mAh battery, which the company says can support extended use. The HONOR X9d 5G is priced at P17,999.

OPPO, meanwhile, unveiled the Find X9, a flagship smartphone centered on mobile photography. The device captures 50-megapixel images by default across all rear cameras and features a camera system developed with imaging partner Hasselblad. The Find X9 is available nationwide through OPPO stores and online platforms.

Samsung rounded out the recent launches with the Galaxy Tab A11+, a tablet aimed at families, students, and general users. The device features an 11-inch display, AI-assisted tools, and a 7,040mAh battery. Pricing starts at P14,990 for the Wi-Fi variant and P17,990 for the 5G model.

The latest releases reflect continued competition in the local consumer electronics market as brands push hardware improvements and expanded use cases.
