The Three Lions saw off a late fight-back from Uruguay to win 3-2 on the day.
England have a 100 per cent record and will now face Iraq in their final group match.
Chelsea defender Bashir Humphreys headed England's opener via a corner from Tottenham midfielder Alfie Devine corner. Devine then scored with a low drive.
Uruguay replied with Franco Gonzalez's tap-in but Leeds midfielder Darko Gyabi produced a superb solo effort to put England 3-1 ahead.
Matias Abaldo's late effort pulled goal back for Uruguay but it wasn't enough as England won 3-2.
