Kota Kinabalu: West Malaysia-based Dialog Group Berhad has won the bid for Sabah’s East Coast Mutiara Cluster, according to Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas).

The Bursa listed company is a Malaysian company that offers a range of services to the energy industry, from upstream to downstream, and into sustainable and renewables.

This follows Petronas’ award of a 14-year Production Sharing Contract (PSC) on June 13 to Dialog’s wholly owned unit, Dialog Resources Sdn Bhd, appointing it as the sole operator of the Mutiara Cluster Small Field Asset.

This the first time that Sabah’s East Coast has proven that commercially viable oil and gas can be extracted off the Sulu Sea to realise the First Gas Date (FGD) to before the first quarter of 2029.
