Sean “Diddy” Combs has reportedly been rushed out of a federal prison after sustaining a head injury.
The disgraced music mogul, 56, was sentenced to 50 months in prison after he was found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution in 2025.
According to TMZ, Combs was taken from Fort Dix federal prison in New Jersey early Saturday morning with a head injury. The outlet reported that the injury was non-life-threatening and that Combs was conscious.
Further details weren’t immediately available.
A spokesperson for Combs told The Independent: “We are aware of the reports concerning Sean Combs and are working to confirm the circumstances. Sean’s health and well-being are our immediate concern, and we appreciate everyone who has reached out.”
The prison declined to comment.
News of the reported incident comes as Combs’s release date has been pushed several times. He is currently slated to be released in March 2028.
Combs was last scheduled to be released in January 2028, but the date was moved after a bombshell NBC News report revealed new details of his life behind bars.
On the condition of anonymity, four men who spent time in the same unit as Combs told the outlet that the Bad Boy Records founder enjoys different privileges than those of his fellow inmates: he has people who do his chores, give him Chinese-style massages, cook special meals for him, and supply him with drugs, alcohol and contraband cell phones.
“This is not some normal s*** you see in jail. This is some rich s***,” one of the anonymous men told NBC News. “It looks crazy, but again, it’s Diddy.”
Sources told NBC News that shortly after Combs arrived at Fort Dix, he acquired a phone, alcohol and a selection of inmates who he pays to do his bidding.
“He’s a billionaire. People are in awe of him,” one of the sources said. “Money is power, especially behind bars.”
Combs has allegedly spent thousands of dollars each month, with the money going into commissary accounts of his fellow prisoners. His alleged payroll includes inmates who clean his cell, make his bed, do his laundry, clean the toilet and shower areas before he uses them, and men who cook him special meals like curry chicken, pizza and empanadas.
A spokesperson for Combs pushed back on the allegations, saying in a statement to The Independent: “The continued scrutiny of every mundane detail of Sean Combs’s life in prison has reached the point where the media characterizes ordinary prison life as news. The only real news is that Sean continues to serve his sentence within the rules and he patiently awaits the court’s decision on his appeal.”
