If you missed out on the iPhone Duo pre-order last week, don’t expect to walk in at the Apple Store at The Exchange TRX this Friday and buy one off the shelf.
Apple’s Malaysian iPhone Duo product page now states that the device is “currently available to buy online only”, with customers given the option of free delivery or pickup at an Apple Store.
In other words, Apple is currently not offering the iPhone Duo for walk-in purchases at its official retail store in Malaysia. So if you didn’t secure your unit during the pre-order period, don’t bother to queue up overnight expecting to get a unit this Friday.
The iPhone Duo officially goes on sale in Malaysia this Friday, 23 October 2026.
Apple Malaysia website states iPhone Duo is online-only for now

The notice appears prominently on Apple’s Malaysian iPhone Duo product page, which states:
“iPhone Duo is currently available to buy online only. Get free delivery or pick up at an Apple Store.”
Typically, in previous launches including the recent iPhone 18 Pro, there will be two lines – one for pre-order pick up and another for walk-in purchases.
With the latest update, customers shouldn’t expect Apple The Exchange TRX to have separate launch-day inventory available for people without a secured order.
The warning comes just days after MacRumors reported that some Apple retail employees had been advised to discourage customers without iPhone Duo pre-orders from visiting stores on launch day.
According to the report, there would likely be no iPhone Duo stock available for walk-in purchases on 23 October.
New iPhone Duo orders pushed to January 2027

Getting an iPhone Duo directly from Apple isn’t going to be quick if you haven’t already secured one.
At the time of writing, new orders on Apple’s Malaysian online store are showing estimated deliveries from 22 January 2027.
That follows a rush for the iPhone Duo when pre-orders opened in Malaysia last Friday at 8pm.
As we reported previously, most of the launch allocation we checked across Apple Authorised Retailers and Malaysian telcos was sold out shortly after pre-orders began. Availability varied by storage option and retailer, but the first batch for the 23 October launch was already extremely limited in less than an hour.
Apple is launching the iPhone Duo across more than 70 countries and regions in its first wave on 23 October, including Malaysia. Another 28 countries and regions will follow from 30 October.
The broad rollout comes as iPhone Duo supply appears to be rather limited. Apple has not disclosed how many units have been allocated for the pre-order session or the breakdown for each respective market.
To recap, the iPhone Duo is offered in Star White and Night Sky, here’s the official pricing in Malaysia:
- 256GB – RM9,499
- 512GB – RM10,499
- 1TB – RM12,499
- 2TB – RM15,499
So if you were planning to queue outside Apple The Exchange TRX early this Friday hoping to score an iPhone Duo without a pre-order, you can probably skip the queue. The best option is to place an order online and wait for the next stock allocation.
