Diego Carlos is returning to Aston Villa training nexts week.
The Brazil defender suffered a hamstring strain in defeat at Liverpool earlier this month.
The Express & Star says Carlos will return to Bodymoor Heath next and full-scale training with manager Unai Emery's squad.
He is a key part of Emery's plans, particularly following the loss of Tyrone Mings to long-term injury.
