Diego Martinez has been sacked by Espanyol.
With Espanyol just outside the dropzone after four consecutive defeats, the board acted last night by sacking Martinez. He had been on a deal to 2024.
Espanyol have already identified his replacement in Luis Garcia.
A former player between 2005 and 2011, Garcia is coach of RSC Internacional, formerly known as Real Madrid C.
Garciais well known for the phrase: "The best thing in Barcelona is to be from Espanyol."
