
THE retail price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will be reduced by three sen to RM2.77 per litre from 29 May to 4 June 2025, the Ministry of Finance announced in a statement on Wednesday.
The ministry stated, "In line with the fluctuations in global oil prices, the Government has agreed to reduce the retail price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia by 3 sen to RM2.77 per litre from 29 May 2025 to 4 June 2025."
The adjustment follows the implementation of the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM), which revises fuel prices weekly in accordance with movements in the global oil market.
The statement added that the retail prices during this period for RON97 petrol remains at RM3.10 per litre; RON95 petrol remains at RM2.05 per litre and diesel in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan remains unchanged at RM2.15 per litre.
“The Government will continue to monitor market developments and adjust the retail prices of diesel based on global oil market fluctuations, whilst supporting price stability,” the ministry said.
It added that appropriate measures would be taken to safeguard public welfare and economic resilience in response to future price movements. - May 28, 2025
