MANILA, Philippines —Diesel prices are expected to decrease, while gasoline is expected to go up next week due to the G7’s planned diesel reserve release, and China’s fuel export suspension, local oil industry sources said on Friday.
They said that diesel prices would drop by around P1.80 and P2 per liter while gasoline is estimated to increase between P2 and P2.20 per liter.
These estimates are based on the 4-day of Mean of Platts, Singapore, the pricing basis of refined goods in Southeast Asia.
This will also be the 2nd consecutive week of lower diesel and higher gasoline prices.
This week, diesel prices declined by P1.30 per liter, while gasoline prices increased by P1.93 per liter.
