KUALA LUMPUR – The diesel supply disruption at certain Petronas Dagangan Bhd stations nationwide has been resolved, said Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali.

He said Petronas Dagangan will send additional supplies within 24 to 48 hours.

“Yes, the supply stock issue (diesel) has been resolved today. The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry has held discussions with Petronas. I have personally spoken with Petronas management,” he said in a statement today.

He added that Petronas Dagangan is required to submit a list of stations involved in the delivery of the additional supply.

“As we resolve this issue to address the needs of consumers in the affected areas, Petronas and the oil companies involved have been asked to submit a full report and detailed documents on the cause of the disruption.”

Yesterday Petronas Dagangan said several stations nationwide were facing a diesel shortage, which was expected to persist until December 31.

“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and wish to assure our customers that we are actively working with the relevant authorities and stakeholders to minimise the disruption,” it said. – December 27, 2023
