KENINGAU: Digital data collection of foreigners in Sabah is not at all intended to provide documents to Illegal Immigrants (PTI) let alone give citizenship to all categories of foreigners.

Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (Star) Bingkor information chief Dennis Joakim said, under the data collection programme, it is clear that the illegal immigrant category will be deported back to their country of origin.

“The PTI category has no documents at all and they will not be registered in the digital data collection programme,” Dennis said.

According to Dennis, the explanation from the first town hall session clearly stated that digital data collection only involved three categories of foreigners registered as holders of IMM13, burung-burung card and census card.

Dennis stressed that digital data on the three categories of foreigners will not change their status from foreigners to citizens.

“They will remain as foreigners after the data collection,” said Dennis.
