TAWAU: Visitors to the 2025 Sabah Madani Rakyat (PMR) Programme will have the opportunity to enjoy various direct and indirect benefits throughout its three-day run at Dataran Majlis Perbandaran Tawau, starting this Friday (May 9).

Deputy Secretary of the Entrepreneurship Empowerment and Monitoring Division at the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development, Syahrunizam Shahwan, said among the benefits offered are job opportunities and skills development initiatives.

“Employers participating in the 2025 Sabah PMR Career Carnival are offering more than 600 job vacancies. So, for job seekers, this is a great opportunity to attend, apply and be interviewed on the spot.

Visitors, he said, can gain valuable entrepreneurial insights and guidance aimed at helping both existing and aspiring entrepreneurs grow and develop their business potential.

“We also have a pocket talk programme to expose residents to business opportunities, PMR satellite program, namely Halal Kuskop Success, which will provide a lot of exposure to entrepreneurs on the process of getting the halal certification,” he said.

In addition, Syahrunizam said visitors can also get free legal advice and undergo health checks at the stalls of the Ministry of Health Malaysia.

“PMR also opens up space for entrepreneurs and the local community to expand their networks and cooperation at the booths of participating ministries,” he said.

He said the Government intends to bring services closer to the community through the organisation of PMR so that the people’s voices can be heard more easily and solutions can be sought directly.

“Various interesting events are also scheduled throughout the PMR, including exhibitions of security assets by agencies such as the Malaysian Armed Forces and the Royal Malaysian Police, e-sports activities, cheap sales with discounts of between 30 and 40 per cent, as well as exhibitions of products from entrepreneurs and food from various ethnic groups,” he said.
