Kota Kinabalu: Sabah tourism players are hoping the government could establish direct flights with Gulf countries to promote the State as a favourite holiday destination.

Sabah, which boasts a year-round moderate climate, is an ideal destination for those seeking a respite from the scorching summer heat. “The need for direct flight connectivity is crucial for Sabah to woo tourists from the Gulf countries as many had expressed interest to explore the state,” said Funholiday’s Managing Director Connie Chong.

She was one of the several travel agencies from Sabah taking part in the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2023 at Dubai World Trade Centre in United Arab Emirates on May 1-4.
