SANDAKAN: Batik Air celebrated the launch of its new direct flight connecting Kuala Lumpur to Sandakan, recently, marking a significant milestone in expanding its domestic network within Malaysia.

The new route operates 14 times weekly, offering seamless access to Sandakan, a city celebrated for its biodiversity, eco-tourism, and cultural heritage.

AdvertisementSandakan Member of Parliament, Vivian Wong, said this service aims to enhance travel convenience for both leisure and business travellers, while simultaneously supporting tourism and economic growth in East Malaysia.

“We now have more flexibility in our travel schedules, with an additional option beyond Malaysia Airlines and AirAsia for flights between Sandakan and Kuala Lumpur.
