PETALING JAYA: The country needed a strong and stable government in dealing with challenges ahead, says caretaker Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

Ismail said the decision to dissolve Parliament was also made based on the latest political development in the country where 12 Perikatan Nasional (PN) ministers had acted “inappropriately” by sending a letter to the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong pressing for the Parliament not to be dissolve.

“The actions of these ministers clearly undermine the office of the prime minister appointed by the Agong, and erodes the spirit of solidarity in the ruling coalition,” Ismail Sabri said in a statement today.
