Disney reveals details about new ‘Monsters, Inc’ land – everything we know

• Disney Parks has unveiled new details about its forthcoming "Monsters, Inc."-themed land at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida, which will be named Monstropolis.
• Monstropolis, currently under construction, will be set after the 2001 Pixar film, focusing on "H.U.M.A.N. Day, short for ‘Humans Understand Monsters Are Nice,’ a citywide celebration that brings humans into the monster world for the first time”, according to a Disney news release.
• The centrepiece of the new land will be a suspended roller coaster, featuring the first-ever vertical lift in a Disney park, designed to immerse guests in the iconic door vault chase scene.
• Visitors will also be able to explore familiar locations such as Harryhausen's restaurant and the Glob Theater, alongside character meet-and-greets, themed shops, and unique food and drink options.
• Separately, the Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! attraction at Disneyland in California is now expected to close in 2027.
