JOLLIBEE Foods Corp. (JFC) is expanding its global restaurant business through a diversified portfolio of owned, franchised and invested brands, with its network now exceeding 10,700 stores and cafés across 33 countries.
The Philippine-founded company said on Tuesday that its portfolio had grown to 20 brands as it continues to broaden its presence across international markets.
The group operates nine wholly owned brands, including Jollibee, Chowking, Greenwich, Red Ribbon, Mang Inasal, Yonghe King, Hong Zhuang Yuan, Smashburger and Tim Ho Wan.
It also has five franchised brands in the Philippines, namely Burger King, Panda Express, Yoshinoya, Common Man Coffee Roasters and Tiong Bahru Bakery.
Beyond these businesses, JFC holds controlling stakes in several brands, including The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at 80 percent, Compose Coffee at 70 percent, Shabu All Day at 70 percent, Milksha at 51 percent and SuperFoods Group, which operates Highlands Coffee, at 60 percent.
The company also has membership interests in Tortazo LLC, a US restaurant concept developed with chef Rick Bayless, and Botrista, a beverage technology company.
JFC Global Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Digital Marketing David Beal said expanding across markets required more than increasing store count.
“Growing across markets requires more than opening stores; it takes brands that are relevant to local customers, strong operating teams, committed franchisees and partners, and the ability to execute consistently across different geographies,” Beal said.
JFC’s portfolio spans quick-service restaurants, coffee and tea, bakery, casual dining and beverage technology, giving the group exposure to different restaurant categories and markets.
The company’s international expansion has also included the United States, where the Jollibee brand recently opened its first franchised restaurant in California under a 24-unit franchise development agreement covering Northern California, Nevada and Texas.
JFC has said its international markets accounted for 44 percent of total systemwide sales in 2025, with international operations growing 27 percent year on year.
The group said its expansion strategy is anchored on portfolio strength, market growth, operational agility and disciplined execution as it continues to develop its international restaurant business.
Shares of JFC on Tuesday surged P0.70, or 0.44 percent, to close at P160.70 each amid a 0.98-percent drop for the benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index.
