D.M. Wenceslao and Associates Inc., together with wholly owned subsidiary Aseana Holdings Inc., said Friday that its office building development in Aseana City, Parañaque, has been declared a Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA)-registered Information Technology Special Economic Zone.
In a disclosure, the company said that with about 100,000 square meters of floor area, 8912 Asean Ave was now the largest PEZA-accredited office building developed by the group.
The accreditation was also said to have added to Aseana City’s existing PEZA-registered office buildings, which include Aseana One, Aseana Two and Aseana Three at a time when new PEZA-accredited office supply in Metro Manila remained limited.
The new IT ecozone is located along Asean Avenue and offers access to major transport infrastructure such as the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange and the LRT 1 Redemptorist–Aseana Station.
It is also integrated within the broader Aseana City estate, and company CEO Delfin Angelo Wenceslao said “the PEZA accreditation of 8912 Asean Ave underscores the strength of Aseana City as a business destination.”
D.M. Wenceslao said the PEZA accreditation supported efforts to attract investments that generate employment and develop skills, reinforcing the Philippines’ status as a global hub for technology-enabled services.
PEZA Director General Tereso Panga said the agency and Aseana Holdings had worked closely over the years in developing Aseana City as a business district.
“Developments such as Aseana One, Aseana Two and Aseana Three have helped position this area as a reliable home for PEZA-registered IT and business process operations,” Panga said.
D.M. Wenceslao shares on Friday slipped P0.04, or 0.79 percent, to close at P5.00 apiece.
