THE Crown Prince of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, has urged members of Malaysia’s security forces to leave no room for traitors or those seeking to undermine the nation’s sovereignty.
Speaking at a ceremony to distribute Aidilfitri festive treats to security agencies, he emphasised that peace cannot be sustained without the sacrifice, dedication, and high level of commitment of the country’s law enforcement personnel.
“Without the sacrifice, dedication and commitment of our security forces, the peace we enjoy today would be difficult to maintain. Allah observes and monitors all our actions at all times.
“Therefore, strengthen your resolve and fighting spirit, and dedicate your entire being with profound love for the nation,” he said.
The ceremony took place at the Multipurpose Hall of Kompeni C, Battalion 2 of the Pasukan Gerakan Am (PGA) and was attended by Raja Puan Muda Perlis, Tuanku Dr Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil.
Tuanku Syed Faizuddin lauded the coordinated efforts of Malaysian security agencies in thwarting illegal activities along the Malaysia-Thailand border, noting the importance of collaboration with Thai authorities to enhance border control.
“Communities on both sides of the border have also become more proactive, providing information to authorities when suspicious activities occur. National security is not the sole responsibility of our security forces; it requires the support of the entire community,” he said.
During the event, the Crown Prince personally presented Aidilfitri cookies to twelve agencies, including the Pasukan Gerakan Am, Royal Ranger Regiment, Customs Department, Immigration, Fire and Rescue Department, and the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency, recognising their continued service in protecting the nation. - March 17, 2026
