MANILA, Philippines — Energy Secretary Sharon Garin announced a P10 per liter discount for jeepneys in Metro Manila starting today, April 14, on top of the Service Contracting Program for public utility vehicles.
For the pilot launch, Garin said 52 registered gasoline stations would be implementing the fuel discount. The program would soon be rolled out nationwide.
“There’s no other requirement, kailangan jeepney ka (You have to be a jeepney),” Garin said in a press briefing in Malacañang.
