SANDAKAN: Parents and families with visually impaired children (OKU) are advised not to hide and leave them alone at home without getting proper help.

Libaran State Assemblyman and Umno Division Head as well as Sabah Umno Treasurer, Datuk Suhaimi Nasir, said this was because there was a training centre for the blind in Sabah providing training and skills to help them become independent.

Among them, Taman Cahaya Sandakan has been providing skills and knowledge to its trainees so that they could get jobs and that some have opened their own businesses.
