RANAU: Villagers here are advised not to worry about child abduction rumours on social media as police always ensure the public’s safety.
Ranau District Police Chief DSP Simiun Lomudin said what went viral was done by irresponsible parties to create atmosphere of unrest and scare the public.
“As long as police did not issue any official statement on the matter it should mean it is not true and villagers do not need to worry,” he said.
