Atletico Madrid have signed Celta Vigo fullback Javi Galan.
Galan passed a medical this morning ahead of penning a new Atletico contract to 2026.
Atletico announced:
"Javi Galn (November 19, 1994, Badajoz) is a new player for our club after the agreement reached with Celta de Vigo for the transfer of the left-handed wing-back, who will wear red and white until June 30, 2026.
"Trained in the lower categories of Crdoba, he debuted with the first team in the Andalusian team in the 2016/17 season and in 2019 he undertook a new professional challenge to make the leap to the highest category of Spanish football in Huesca.
"In the Oscense group there were two and a half campaigns and he was a participant in the promotion of the Aragonese club to LaLiga in the following season. Already in the 2021/22 academic year, Celta de Vigo signed Javi Galn, who has played in the Vigo team for the last two seasons, throughout which he has played a total of 79 games and scored a goal."
